RRISD has begun offering Spanish-speaking parent workshops titled "Conversations of Hope" as a way to provide information on a variety of issues such as TAKS, the RRISD school system, and many other topics in Spanish. The group meets every Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. in the Round Rock HS 700 building teachers lounge; no RSVP is necessary. Partnering with citizens interested in celebrating and promoting Hispanic heritage in Williamson County, The Williamson Museum is seeking help from area residents to expand the Hispanic representation in its photographic collections. During Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 to October 15), we are seeking photographs, both old and new, for inclusion in photographic collections and exhibitions. Selected photographs will be used in exhibits at the Round Rock Public Library and The Williamson Museum in May 2010.

The Williamson Museum is hosting two sessions where individuals may submit a photograph, either to be scanned or the original print, providing historical information and signing a release form so that the photograph(s) may be used in future endeavors. Donors are welcome to submit more than one photograph.
